Wow, what a great time we had in Norway. We were shown great hospitality and friendship and played a couple of burning gigs. Here’s a video from our show at The Slabberasset Festival.
Summer is shaping up to be very exciting so far. We’ll be heading to The Black Mountains to play at Fire In The Mountain on June 2nd then on the way back down south we’ll be playing for the lovely people at The Hermon Chapel in Oswestry. On June 15th we’ll be heading over to Trondheim in Norway to play two gigs. June 15th at Antikvariatet, we’ll then head 80 or so Kilometres north to play the Slabberaset festival in Steinkjer on June 16th.
Its looking like we’ll be playing a beautiful little festival in Steinkjer , North of Trondheim in Norway this June and it got me thinking about the music of Annlaug Borsheim. Here’s a medley of two tunes which will feature on the new studio album. Annlaug, from Norway wrote the second tune ‘Fasiken’, Fasiken is actually a Swedish word for……well you look it up. We filmed this video at La Sonora De Gracia in Barcelona during a tour last year.
Today is the release of my new live album. The album features my brothers in music Evan Davies on mandolin, Dorian Ricaux on guitar and Marius Pibarot on fiddle. The album was recorded live at De Melkbus in Dordrecht in The Netherlands by the brilliant Marc Burger .
We’ve got a few gigs coming up over the next few months. February 2nd at The North Nineteen in Archway, London, February 3rd at London Remixed Festival.
You can find the album here
